AVG has many specialties. It can heal the threats in a different way than any other anti-virus. It is available in three modules, 1) Internet Security 2) AVG anti-virus 3) AVG freeware.
In this AVG FREE is free to use both of the others, we need to buy. So mainly people goes for to AVG Free, since we not need to give money for that.
Older versions of the AVG have not much graphics included e.g.: AVG 7.5, but the versions from AVG 8 onwards it was increased its graphics and bring a nice look for the software itself. It is very user friendly to use.

It has a very good Anti-Virus, which detects viruses, Trojans, worms, etc and it heals this harmful thing from our computers or moves them to Virus Vault.
Anti-Spy-ware helps to protect our PC's from all kinds of malwares (like spy-ware - which collects information’s from our computers and sent to others, ad-ware - which makes advertisements on our computers).
Link Scanner works with most of all web browsers, it helps us from accidentally becoming infected by drive-by downloads and says which web pages are safer for us and it will gave us a safe verdict on all search results using Google, yahoo, etc.
E-mail Scanner checks the incoming and outgoing mail whether it contains any harmful items, if it found some thing like that it will heals this harmful things from our mails or move them to Virus Vault.
Resident Shield scans files they are opened, closed, saved, copied, that is at the time of running of the system, if it found any threats it stops that action and give vital protection to our system.
Update Manager which will manage the update for the AVG from the internet to get maximum protection for our system.
Computer scanner in this software which will scan all the computer and scan specific files and folders. If it found any threats it will remove that harmful things from our computers or move them to Virus Vault. Virus Vault from that we can delete the harmful viruses and make our system safer from all threats.
